DAY 11 SERNADELO - AGUEDA

5/9/2018

These early starts are addictive! We Left at first light around 7am. It was another blessed overcast and cool morning, with temperatures heating a up to mid to late 20’s in early afternoon

The forests of beautiful trees, ferns and orchards were magical for the first couple of hours as were the vineyards.

Unfortunately this cleared to become hard asphalt and road walking through mostly industrial areas with urban and peri urban interspersed between.

Saw the young Poles again, stopped for a catch-up and quick photie.

We arrived in the pretty umbrella city of Águeda and walked around the central areas before settling in for a welcome focaccia, pizza and salad lunch up the hill.

Bumped into our young Polish friends who were looking exhausted (yet always smiling and engaging) after searching with not much luck for cheap for student/pilgrim accommodation. Seems that the town is full of pilgrims with most accommodation full. Checked in at our Auberge and the daily clothes washing chores were done!

Another day dusted!! 💚🌳🌲
